Straight black line on images

Hi, I've recently purchased a brand new D5100 which I'm reasonably happy with, but after only it's second outing, I've found that all images now have a thin black line in them (bottom left in this image). This happens with even if I change lenses, so is obviously a body issue.....I've tried 'sensor clean' option and a light puff of air inside, but I can't sort it.....

Any assistance welcomed.....thank you, Clint

Change out your memory card with one from a different camera and see what happens.
Format the new card in the D5100 and take a few test shots.

Hope this helps;

If you zoom in on the image on the LCD preview screen on the back of the camera can you find that line on your shots, or is the line only present when you are reviewing images on your computer? Finding the line on the shot in the preview screen would seem to me to indicate a problem with the camera body.

I was in photofinishing for many years and I would have told you that it was a scratch in the film. BUT.....

Take it back to the dealer and be sure to carry a good quality print showing the scratch and tell them the steps you have gone through to trace it to the source. I had a problem with my first D3100 and carrying it prints etc BestBuy just walked back to the shelf and handed me a new one whick a later dropped and broke. D5100 now and am very careful not to drop.
Good luck and be sure to let us know how it all works out.
