Question a bout: WB, Copywriter title and fixing photos

Hi to all,
I just buy the Nikon D-500 and 200-500mm lens.
I have some questions:
- Is there an option to attach the copywriter name on the photos from the camera itself and not from software in the home computer like lightroom?
- About Wb: What is the difference between Auto 0 and Auto 1? What is recommended for taking a picture of birds in sky?
- Can i "fix" the photos in the camera itself like putting more light, brightness and making a crop to the picture?

Thanks in advance.
Vered

1 Yes, in the setup menu under copyright Information
2 Auto 0 will keep colors cooler, Auto 1 "normal" and Auto 2 will be warmer. I find that I often have to fine tune white balance while post processing on the computer, but that's the case with every camera I've ever owned.
3 You can edit pictures in the retouch menu, but it is pretty primative and you will be much happier editing pictures on the computer.

I suggest downloading the camera manual from the Nikon website. This will answer these types of questions quickly for you.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

Woody's reply is great. You might also want to consider buying David Busch's Nikon D500 book. Unless all you want to shoot is birds in the sky, you want to consider getting a more general purpose lens such as a Nikon 18-140mm lens.

"1 Yes, in the setup menu under copyright Information"- I put my name in Artist and Copywriter. Made ON in Attach copywriter but nothing happen.
Should it write my name on the photos from now on or i should do another setting?

" That will have to be done in post"- Do you mean in home computer software like lightroom?
Yes, if you want to watermark your photo's you'll need to do it using software on your home computer. Lightroom is one option but there are others. If you're running Windows 10, for instance, you already have the application, Paint 3D installed which can be used for this. IRFanview is free and while its Text Tool wouldn't be my first choice for watermarking, it would get the job done, I suppose.

Thank you.

It includes the copyright information in the EXIF data of the picture file. This is the part of the file that gives all the data about the shot, such as shutter speed, aperture, etc. You can see all of this data on most image processing software on a computer.
