New D500 QA question.

Hey Everyone!

After years of using and abusing the D7100 (still works like a charm and looks close to new) I snagged a D500 for a price I could not refuse. I am loving it so far. One thing I have noticed that I wanted to run by fellow owners is that the D-pad or multi selector seems to be slightly "squished in" when going down or right on the dpad. It is not quite as "clicky" as left or up in other words. Is anyone else's like this? It works completely fine and i don't feel like going through the process of a replacement for such a minor thing considering these things are built like a tank, but I was curious what everyone else had the same thing with their D500.

Thanks!

Thank you for the response. I got it VERY slightly used. Less than 1000 photos taken on it through digital goja. Everything came intact including the warranty through Nikon. It's working just fine so I guess i'll live with it and if an issue pops up we will go from there.

Usually Nikon warranties only apply to the original owner. You can register your body through Nikon's web site, but that doesn't mean they will do warranty work on it. The warranty card might be unused, but if the body was registered online by a previous owner, it wouldn't be valid. My suggestion is to check with the dealer where you purchased it and see if they will send it in themselves.

I'll contact the seller. I'm not too worried about it at this point, it still works perfectly fine. Just one of those annoying OCD things. I'll probably stop caring after the camera takes a little more abuse over time.
