    Rear dial and reviewing images

    Hey Everybody,
    I was trying to look at images on my card using the rear dial. However, it no worky. Has anybody had this issue, especially on a full SD card? I am wondering if it was thinking or if the dial is bad.

    I also had an issue pushing the shutter to turn off the preview. It didn't want to work.

    Do I need to send it to the doctor? I never sent in a registration card. Do I need to do that?

    Thanks,
    Everybody

    Isn't using the scroll wheel to view image a custom function. F5 (Customize Command Dials) on a d7100 anyway.

    @Needa Yes, I have it set to do that. It started working eventually.

    Since there are several months before your warranty ends, I think you should contact Nikon. Contact them via email explain what happened, this will create a log that the camera was having problems. Be sure to save the emails. As intermittent problems are hard to diagnose this will help you late if you decide to send it in and maybe they wont tell you "we cant find anything wrong". There maybe some software upgrade or other that may resolve the problem or it could be a one time thing.

    Was this the first and only time? What resolved it?

    @Needa
    Seems like it has happened before. I just kept turning the wheel, and it eventually worked.
    I will contact Nikon and start the process. I really need to keep a log for when these things happen.

    I think user error is the culprit.
