Ive never been one to be precious about my gear. I know its built well and will survive most scenarios I can put it in.

To this fact I have recently taken it to a waterfall, onto various beaches, into 40 degree studios, doing a full wedding and everywhere in between. Here is some of my shots.

Nice set Daz and glad the camera is standing up to the hard work.

On another note, have you looked at / used the Godox AD200 with the D500 and if so what are your thoughts as I am considering one with the relevant controller for off camera flash work?

Hey dude !! I have put it through a lot more since this post! I need to post it up :)

I havent used the Ad200 with the D500 as I have the AD600, I have seen people with the AD200 and to me they seem pointless for the power, I would much rather have the 600 and stop it down if needed :)

I have the X1T-n trigger that works with the Godox kit and it works flawlessly on the Nikon D500.

I also have the Rotolight Aeos and will be getting the Neo 2 in the coming weeks too !! THAT is a game changer of a light, I have that being fired with a reciever for the Godox trigger (so the X1R-n) and it works perfectly :)

All of those shots above had the Ad600BM firing in them :)

Thanks Daz,

I was considering the AD200 as it is almost the same size as a standard strobe with the advantage of a changeable heads and can in turn replace my Yongnuo 560 series that are purely manual.

I do like the look of the Rotolights and have watched some of the Jason Lanier videos of his use of these for portraits shoots - very interesting but expensive.

Ahh you may have noticed me in the Aeos video that was put out the last time he was in the UK when we were shooting in the park with Brenda !! I will be in the new one for the Neo 2 that is releasing soon :)

The Aeos is awesome, I went out last night and we were late getting to the location and if I didn't have an LED of some sort I would have had to cancel the shoot, we had zero light, the 500 is great but even that would have struggled with focus !!

The fact I can also shoot it at any temperature I want is amazing. There are a couple photos at the bottom of this post from shoots the last couple days :) :)

I cant wait to get my Neo 2, I have been bugging Rod every day as to where mine is :)

That is one thing that I dont like, there have been quite a few reports of issues with the connections between the heads going on rendering them useless ...

I do get the Rotolights are expensive, I am glad I was able to get mine on a deal !! However I will take shooting with the Aeos (or Neo 2 when it arrives) any day over my 600, they are so much easier to shoot with :)

These shots were on the Suspension Bridge, there would be no way I would get away with setting up the 600 and a beauty dish on a light stand, with the Aeos I literally put it on the floor or on the railing and shot away :)

Thanks Daz and nice images from Bristol.

Interesting to read your thoughts on the Neo compared to the 600 etc and in the videos I have watched with Jason "doing his thing", the Rotolight seems an easy alternative to flash.

Good luck with the new light and I look forwardto seeing some of your images.
