L Brackets with battery grip.

There are a number of d500 specific L brackets out there. Which is great if you don't have a vertical grip on there.

Has anyone found an l bracket that works with the battery grip and allows access to the flaps on the side? Maybe one meant for a D4 or D5?

There's a sunfoto option for D5, but I wasn't sure if it would exactly work. Hate to spend $80 just to have to turn around and send it back.

It's really only the top flap I'd need to get in and out of most of the time, I think with a d500 specific bracket with the battery this is the exact flap that will be locked closed.

Access Denied

That's the one I ordered. It may be a knock off of the rrs. Somehow I didn't find that ers one.

I HATE buying on eBay. Almost every seller is lying about something with little to no repercussions.

This seller says it's in CA. Which I highly doubt. They also claimed to have mailed it USPS last Friday.

Today I extracted the tracking number out of them, and it's still pre shipping.

Which means either it did ship but it's got to transfer from Hong Kong to the USPS or they haven't shipped it. Either way it is a definitive lie.

So when /if it comes I'll post back on the quality.

Ok pudshing them for the tracking number, then calling them out on not actually shipping it got them moving. It came today after they finally put it in the mail yesterday. IT comes from CA and I'm in CA so mail here usually moves pretty quickly.

The bracket seems sturdy enough. I think the black is painted, and it will probably wear, but that doesn't both me as long as it holds up. It seems solid enough. It fits in my neewer ball head just fine and that head seems to be pretty generic so I think this is a winner at this price. It's got a built in flat space for a hand strap. And it has enough open space on the other end that I'll be clipping my sling strap to a ring or something I add there and not needing an awkward nut or extra plate at the bottom anymore. Although it does have two extra 1/4 screw hols at the bottom of the plate. Theres' ample space to get the battery out.

I feel like this actually increases the durability of the camera. I also have big hands and a nice side effect is that it's easy to grip on the left.

I thought I had posted before, but guess not. I did try the D5 one from sunwayfoto. It was REALLY Close, but didn't quite fit right. It would work if the screw position was like a half a screw diameter further the one edge.
