First, welcome to the forum.

The answer is not quite that simple. A lot depends on your budget and what type of photography you plan to do. The D500 is a great camera.

What camera are you shooting now? With the D500 you will have to buy high end lenses. Your basic kit lenses will not be a good choice for this camera.

The camera itself is more-than-capable.

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.

The D500 is a fine camera. But with it you will also have to invest in a flash unit and pack that and the batteries every where you go. If you plan to do a lot of sports/action photography, it is hard to beat. However, if you plan to do a lot of landscape, street or portrait photography, for less than half the money, you might want to consider a D7200. Your other options for the same money as the D500, or a little more is a full-frame FX camera.

Your selection of glass will work well with the D500.

A lot of folks here are on the Yongnuo Flash bandwagon. I own a Yongnuo flash myself.
It's a good piece of kit.
However, another member recommended a used Nikon SB-800. After buying a SB-800. my Yongnuo flash doesn't get used very often.
The SB-800 is an excellent flash. It's party piece is an option for a fifth battery.
I adjust the auto-iso to 800 with the flash on and I can get four or five shots at 6 fps before I have to wait for the flash to recharge.
The fifth battery allows for much faster recharging times than my Yongnuo, less than a second most times.
The SB-800 and the 70-200 is a killer combo.
The SB-800 is more expensive but it's worth the extra money. YMMV

Might get one as a 2nd body sometime we will see.. Maybe wait to see what nikon bring out
If you can afford one and afford to wait, then it might be worthwhile waiting for the D810 replacement. That said, a D810 as a second body is no small thing, its the best Nikon all rounder imo
