    I went out for a little ride Thanksgiving morning, before cooking & came across this beauty.

    (Question: I there a recommended size / resolution / etc. for best display of uploaded images? Mine don't seem to have the crispness they do elsewhere.)

    This Northern Harrier was surveying the field adjacent to the road I was driving on. It actually startled me. I grabbed the D500 from the passenger seat of my car, aimed, & shot. To me, that's a pretty good example of the focus acquisition & lock of the D500. Yes, I was driving. No, in retrospect, that was not a good idea.

    EDIT: This one is a great example of my previous question regarding IQ of posted images. All the detail is gone form this Harrier. You can't even see the eye...???...

    Getting that golden hour orangey glow during "Golden Hour". Yes that was the color of this snowy egret with the early golden light shinning on him.

    Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

    1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.

    2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)


    These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

    When I enlarge it I see the eye just fine.
