If the opportunity arose and I had the spare cash, I'd buy one in a heartbeat, before I bought a full frame even, so I want to check yes. The odds of that much spare cash being available... that would make me check no.

Well, there is the lottery, right?

I chose maybe.

If two people die and a certain couple divorce in that time, yes. Until then, maybe.

Yes. Nikon seems to have thrown everything and the kitchen sink into the D500. It will pair nicely with my D750, though I will sadly sell off my D7100 to help offset the cost.

If I were still a Nikon shooter I would, but no for now. But..., if it were mirrorless..., :) BTW I did not vote since I'm not currently shooting Nikon, don't want to degrade the results.

I need skill. Then I need some glass. All the D500s in the world won't help me out right now.

Looks like a hell of a camera though.

I need to know a lot more and see the camera in real life before I would consider it. It sure looks good on paper, though.

If I shot wildlife more, and after the bugs are worked out, I would be very tempted if the stats are correct! It sounds like the true upgrade from the D300, fitting that Pro DX nitch! Though that change made in the frame to lighten it up, is something I'm iffy about even if it was never noticed in use!lol

Did anybody check the controls to see what model layout they came closest to? If they matched the D800E then it could still tempt me, if I had the money, despite my lack of any real need for a DX no matter how awesome it is!lol:)

Looked to me like the controls were more D800/D810 and not D7x00/D6x0 at all.
