Amazing!! Well done Nikon. I would have loved this body as an upgrade from my old D300. Exciting days for DX shooters!!

I have been seriously considering a D7200 to use with my Tamron 150-600 for my aviation photography but with the frame rate and buffer size of the D500 I think I need to save some money quick!

If it does come out let them work the bugs out first :D

This is going to severely complicate my switch to Canon decision. Battery orientation tells me it has the ergonomics of the D750 which I absolutely love. Hmmmmmmm. I definitely won't be an early adopter, but hopefully this is everything it should be. If not, it will uncomplicate my decision. ;)

If I had the extra money to spend I would be tempted to sell my D7200 and get this instead.

Assuming Nikon doesn't step on its own crank as they have in the past (HA!), I can only imagine what the market for used DX-bodies will look like in a few months.

And with MSRP's like those being bantered about methinks Nikon had better put ordinance squarely on target the FIRST time.

With the ingredients going in I'm wondering what higher ISO noise will be. Not full frame high ISO capability, but if they can land it between D7100 and D600 then I'm fully in.

THIS has the things that I was debating adding a mirrorless camera to the bag for (Transfer straight from camera and a tilting screen)

Now I need to wait and see what the UK price is to see if I add a Sony A6000 or the D500 into the bag ...
