Does it do that in every shot? Can you still take pictures and they all come out like this one?

We are camera users and as much as some problems can be diagnosed from shots, I'm not sure we can really help in this case. To me, it looks like something major has gone wrong. Maybe time for a trip to a camera doctor or have a look at Nikon's new offerings.

It could be a host of different things. WE have no info on camera , settings, lens used or anything else.

Its like phoning a mechanic from home and saying ' my car doesnt start - whats the problem ' ?

Welcome to the forum. Maybe there is some light getting in the sensor/lens mount. i'm guessing it's a D50? What lens? How old? What setting are you using? where did you take the shot? Whats the story behind this shot?????????? WE NEED MORE INFO TO POSSIBLY HELP YOU

To me it looks like it was shot into the sun...Sun spot with a colour cast...

Or Photoshopped mayby..

As above more information required...

you can remove the lens from the camera, set the lens to the smallest aperture, and use the lock button to hold it there. Re-connect the lens, turn the camera back on, and all should be well. If you are still facing an error then you can also try another memory card to save your photos. It may be your current memory card got corrupt.
