I have a theory ::what:: if Nikon have sensor with a native ISO of 102,400 then a successful launch in FX would make it very interesting in say a D400,think about it even with the related problems of going down to DX there would be a lot of interest in it.

Why does this not excite me?:indecisiveness: Oh yea...Because I don't make my living with a camera.

Must agree i feel the same, only level of interest i have is natural curiosity,if i win the lottery it would look nice in a display cabinet with other Nikon items:D

I'm in the same boat. I always have some hope that someone will try and so something new with DSLR's instead of just a bump in specs.

At the same time don't fix what isn't broken, right? Better sensor and AF system besides an extra button in a key location is really all we honestly need these days. And affordability. So far Nikon definitely marches ahead of Canon aside perhaps the single digits, but then price factor levels that bit off.
