That D40 did well there. I enjoyed mine when I had it. Someone made me an offer on it that was too good to pass up so off to a new owner it went. Should have kept it. The D800 is a great camera, but I bet it's much easier carrying the D40.

Great photos of my old hometown. :encouragement:
 
Somehow I missed this thread when it was new.

This goes to prove my point. A good photographer can get a good photograph with just about any camera but a bad photographer can't get a good photograph with even the most expensive camera made.

I still have my D40 kit I bought new direct from Nikon in March 2007. My 9 year old boy uses it with the 35mm f1.8G. Great little setup :)

I agree,

I've the 18-55mm kit lens on a D50, well I did have until I gave one of my D50's + the kit lens to my wife and I miss it!
