D40 Color swap- is it possible?

What is the method to do a color swap in a Nikon D40 camera. Can I take black and white pictures while using this camera?

Read the manual.
You can take 3 different levels of color, and then B+W, sepia, and blue-toned shots. It's one of the pluses of the D40 that not many other DSLRs offer...
