I saw that one. I would not be surprised if it stays near $6k. Maybe in about 4 years I will be able to swing another mint D4s?

For the average low life shooter like myself, the current model is already very good but with camera technology, a "s" version is expected to be much better similar to the D3 and D3s.

We'll have more info soon but a lack of AA filter is something that could produce better IQ. Dual CF or Dual XQD are some of the common request from the D4 users.

I am waiting to be surprised on what Nikon will include to entice D3s and D4 owners.

Hmm hopefully that means 2nd hand D4 price will drop ;-)

It is possible but it will still be on the high $4k or mid $5k area me thinks. Timing is everything.

I'm scared the price

That is what I am hoping for, that the D4 will drop. Even just a little will help me justify buying one. I am in the market but just too afraid to drop that kind of money. Oh well just going to wait and see.

I wish they would come out with a small pro body. D800 ish but with a 24mp sensor. Not crazy about the larger pro size.

Now that I have the D300, I'm happy! Someday I'll move up to a full frame Nikon, but I'm no longer in such a rush! Lol

Official announcement is expected on Monday at 12 midnight EST! The D4s has been spotted at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi! Plan to order one at the end of March.

Adorama has it listed at 24MP, 11fps.

Sounds about perfect for me. When the cost comes thru I will be starting an extreme internal debate, with the probable goal being the decision on whether to unload some music gear that has gone unused for a significant amount of time, along with maybe the D800, and pick this up by year end once the tires have been kicked. Hopefully with some kind of Holiday discount.

Nikon D4S Images at CP+ 2014 | Camera News at Cameraegg Definitely on the shopping list, but I wouldn't sell my D800 to get one.
