Sam you got a D800 and a D4 as I see below your Avatar.

When do you use each of them and what is for you the biggest difference between them.

Thank you yes I do have both. Two very different cameras - the D4 is my "go to" camera for sports, low light & general photography. The D800 is awesome for photos that you want to have great detail so I use it mostly for wildlife & landscape. The D800 also is the perfect travel camera for me.

Not bad at all Sam. Do you think that the D4 is at least one stop better at higher ISO against the D800?

Good to know. I've been saving my "yens" to get either D4 or Nikon 200mm f2 lens. Still debating for now.

Oh man that's a tough one. Both are awesome. Have you tried a 200mm f2? I rented one once for a week great lens best I have ever used, however I found it heavy & awkward especially with the hood on it. My 300mm F4 balanced & handled better on my D700 I had at the time. Something to consider

So for me as a Hobby-photographer if I going to change from DX to FX is the D800 to go I guess.
