Half my pictures are blank

Hello all, I have a Nikon D3400 with a SanDisk Extreme pro 32 Gig SD card. Today I took about 40 pics. On the card it shows all in sequence by number. But only the first ten pictures can be viewed. Pulled card and transferred to PC. I have an icon for all but only ten can be viewed there also. PC says can't display this pic. My pics were taken in jpeg normal mode.
Any help would be really appreciated.

These are the instructions I was sent after a warranty replace card acted up. It resolved the problem. Previous to this the card had been formatted in Windows and the camera. If you are familiar with command prompt and disk names try this.

Warning typing the wrong disk can wipe your hard drive
.

Open command prompt as admin

Type diskpart
Type list disk
Type select disk n (Where n is the flash card)
Type clean
Type create partition primary
Type format fs=fat32 quick
Type active
Type assign
Type exit
Type exit

If all went through correctly, you should see the drive again under “Devices with Removable Storage”.

I followed the steps from Needa and replaced the card back to the camera and formatted there. Went outside and took about 25 pics. All can be seen on the camera and the PC when transferred there. Wish I had known this before I lost all the Pics from Yesterday.

Thanks to all.
