How to record time/date stamp on a MOVIE?

I did not purchase my D3400 for movies but because it can I have a one-off need to do so :D

I have the date/time set in the camera's clock and I have it configured to include the date/time on still pictures. It does not do so on a movie. I have looked through the movie setup options forwards and backwards and even reviewed the manual  Nothing. Is this possible? I am setting up to do a traffic surveillance mission and the timestamp would be helpful.

TIA,

Ken

I do not believe the D3400 is capable of doing what you're asking. You might want to investigate (ha!) Investigate Video Editor for your needs.

Thanks Horoscope Fish,

Just wanted to make sure I had not overlooked something simple in the setup. Looks like I didn't. That video editor looks cool but is overkill for this project.

Thanks again,

Ken
