Hi All! For my Work I need to submit images that are 1600x1200. How do I set my D3200 to take that size pictures?
You can't; you'll need to resize them.

Using the "Small" .jpg setting will get you close by generating an image size of 2,304 x 1,536 pixels but no smaller.

What Paul said...

You'll need to Import your RAW images into a photo editing software application, then Export the images specifying the exact dimensions/pixels that your work requires.

While a setting in camera like this is possible, personally I wouldn't choose the smallest size setting in camera. What if one day you want to print an enlargement? When I first started out shooting with a DSLR, I shot in jpeg because I didn't know anything about RAW. Sure wish some of my early photos had been shot as the largest size RAW possible.

The largest size file shot in RAW will give you the best options for editing and enlarging. Then resize the files in some type of editing software to give you what you need for that specific size.

Like Paul said, you can choose a smaller file in camera but will still need to resize afterwards.

Marilynne is correct... you don't need to shoot in RAW to achieve what you want...

But here's the thing... If you need to learn to export/output images at a specific size/quality, you might as well learn to use the camera at its highest quality/resolution size, and then downsample from there... As Cindy mentioned... You can always shoot at high quality and downgrade from there, but it's not that simple going the other way when you want to.
