ml-l3 remote settings on D3200 reverts back to Single shot mode after a minute

Thanks for taking time to read my question. The shoot mode on D3200 reverts back to Single shot mode after a minute of inactivity and I have to go back to the camera and set it again!!. This is a big problem for me because I use the remote shutter to be able to include myself in the family portraits and the non adjustable "one minute" is too short for preparing for the shot especially when there are young kids involved. I'm disappointed seeing that there is no way to increase the one minute inactivity timeout. The only workaround I see is to press Ml-l3 button at least one time every minute in order to keep it from timing out. This is very annoying. Please let me know if you guys know of any settings in the camera to increase this time. I have already changed the default timer settings and changed the stand by timer time to 30 min but that did not make any difference.

There's a specific setting, "Remote on Duration" found in the "Timers/AE Lock" menu (Sub-menu "C" in the Custom Settings menu) that you need to change.

It should go up to something like 15 minutes or so.

That doesn't match up with the menus on my D3200. Menus must be arranged differently on whatever model you have.

I went looking for it, and it's right in the Setup Menu on my D3200.
