SD Cards issues with Camera

Hello,

So I have a D3200 DSLR and i am getting an issue where my SD cards are giving me the message "This memory card cannot be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card". This is the 3rd time in 3 months i'm having this come up. After inspecting my SD cards the gold strips on the cards are visibly scratched, most notable my newest SD Card which is less than 1 week old.

Is there any solutions to this problem that isn't purchasing a new DSLR or is the situation too late. Thank you for any help you can provide!

If the contacts are scratched you likely don't have an issue with oxydation ...

However it is worth to check whether the contacts (in the camera) are not bent (i.e. Properly aligned) causing false contacts

On a more general aspect: new SD cards should always be formatted in camera, before using the first time

Yeah I looked at the contacts and they seem fine. I forgot to include that the camera is at 30,000 photos and is around 3 years old which my suspicion (and my boss who is a photographer as well) believe it to be just worn out.

So when you replace the SD card with a new one it is scratched in a week? Are you pulling the card out and inserting in a card reader or computer to transfer it to the computer? If it is not the camera then it might be in the computer. Also you might want to check on how you are handling the cards

Pulling/insert the card Into a SD card slot. I do a lot of that as a sports photographer, which was my suspicion. When I'm not using the card it's either in the camera or in a plastic case in my bag.

To clarify: My suspicion of damage. The card transferring between my Apple MacBook Pro & my D3200. The only confusing part is that I've been using this system for years as a photographer for my college without a problem but now it's suddenly happening all the time with my photography job with an independent summer collegiate baseball team.
