I'm planning to buy a Sigma Lens 70-300mm-F4-5.6-DG-Macro-Motorized for my 3200.....as stated in the lens its motorized..will this AF on my 3200 Body? Just want to make sure
:D

yes I got one here works fine but if you are paying money why not get an 18-200 18-250 or 18-300 and stop messing about changing lenses....I found it very lacking in contrast and always had to do an auto correct ...I only use it to photograph criminal activity throught glass usually so perhaps others would comment ...I think you should get a VR lens at that focal length

Nikkor would be my first choice....is it a big difference from 200mm to 300? Purpos for my lense is for candid street photgraphy... Would it realy pay to have an AF function? Since having my 3200 all I use is the manual setting...:)

AF hell yes street photography is about seeing that shot and taking it before its gone ..I would be using A for Aperture min 1/30 and auto iso 100-6400 ..if you want lots of bokeh then use its max aperture and the auto focus will hit the subject dead on ..single center focus is the way to go AF-S
Cover up the word nikon etc on the camera and dont wear that silly yellow strap.

18-200 would be fine as with 24 mp you have some space to crop

So nikkor is the way to go......maybe il just get the 200mm AF-s......but the sigma 300 is tempting due to its price...haha....

Not sure about Tamron, but any Sigma with "HSM" (for Hyper-Sonic Motor) in the lens description has the focus motor in the lens and will AF on your D3200 (as pedroj satated above)

How true is it that during "M" (manual) mode its not advisable to use the AF feature if the lens?? will it destroy any part of the lens or the body?
