Off Camera Flash

I am looking to upgrade my speedlight to a Nikon SB-700.
Can it be used wireless off camera with the D3200 and if so what menu setting do I need to change?

I looked around but can't seem to find the answer.

I don't think the D3200 inbuilt flash can be used as a master - if you had 2 SB700's, you could use 1 as a master and 1 a slave. Your other option would be 3rd party triggers, pocket wizards or something similar.

Is there an entry level alternative to the pocket wizard? I see these are about $250 each, as I am only a beginner hobbyist I was hoping for a cheaper alternative.

I think the Yongnuo triggers are a bit more reasonably priced, but I haven't ever used them so I can't comment on their reliability or performance.
