I shoot in RAW +Fine. Shooting outside without flash how many shots should I be getting on the standard battery? Just trying to figure out if I need a spare battery.

Are you using Live View. If so, then yes a second battery is in line. It kills your battery so fast. Your popup flash doesnt use all that much power when in iTTL mode in daylight. It only fires off enough power fill. I have gone 800 + shots with only half the battery gone, when doing Time Lapse series, with no flash.

I rarely use Live View.
Had not figured out the fill with the flash. That is good to know. I like fill flash outdoors so that will be a nice feature.
Time Lapse? Will have to do some research on that feature.
