Well, I'm sorry I won't be answering your question fully because I'm out of magic potion.
I think you will have to start by learning the basics of photography. There are plenty of tutorials out there on Youtube and other sites, read your camera's user manual, and, mostly, experiment with the different settings.

Your question is just impossible to answer. It's like if someone tells you "hey, I just bought a car, can you tell me how to drive?"

There is a learning curve that you will have to go through. We can probably help along the way, but you have to do your part.

To be honest, take a few sample pictures first, then play around with the settings.

There will never be a one setting fits all - you say at 13:00, but at 13:00 on a summers day is completely different to 13:00 on a winters day.
The beauty of a digital camera - it doesn't cost you anything to take some pictures, adjust settings and take more pictures (aside from your time of course).

As Marcel said, read the manuals though, have a look at tutorials etc.
Jewellery is always very special - depending on what affect you're after will affect how you photograph it too.

Paste some samples on here too - that's when we can maybe provide some critique and help :)

Shoot at the lowest ISO that you can get away with. :)

Sort of sounds like a flippant answer, but it is accurate.

Everything depends on the relationship with all of the other elements involved in the composition. Light, shadows, distance, aperture, shutter speed etc.

There is no magic settings of one setting fits all settings.

Trail and error until you find the ---- WOW!

I'm going to make a few suggestions:

1) Take the date stamp off your pics
2) Invest in something like this; http://www.mwacrylic.com/photo/orig...ble-acrylic-ring-display-standholderspike.jpg
or http://www.mwacrylic.com/photo/orig...inger-ringdie-walkure-display-standholder.jpg
or even http://img.alibaba.com/wsphoto/v0/4...ring-holder-white-black-11-6-18cm-jewelry.jpg
It will give a much more professional look, and don't photograph outside where background foilage etc will distract away from your jewellery.
3) Use the photo box you have - you may need to use a flash or something, and to be honest I don't think you will have needed a dedicated macro lens just yet - the 18-55 might have sufficed.
4) Tripod will be very useful to get the same angle of shot for different items as you take pictures of them.

I'm sorry, but if I saw your current photographs for jewellery, yes I would think very unprofessional :(
