I go to a lot of gigs and am always disappointed with my pictures. I guess it's the moving musicians and constantly changing lights. Any tips on how toi take good gig photos without flash?

You really need to give us a lot more information.

  1. What camera?
  2. What Lens?
  3. What kind of surroundings are you shooting in?
  4. What kind of lighting are you trying to shoot in?

Post a photo or two and include the EXIF Data so we can help you.

Guidelines to adding a photo to your post.

1. Resize photo to 1000px on the long side.
2. Resolution set to 72ppi (Pixels Per Inch)

These guidelines will be good for viewing on a computer but will not be good for printing. This will help safeguard your copyright.

Not much experience taking these kind of shots, but I would advise 3 things at least.
Fast lens.
Low noise high ISO body.
Shoot RAW, so you can correct WB in post
