difference between D3 and D3x

I was looking at D3 and D3X camera. I wanted to know what is the difference between the two?

The D3 is 12.1mp and the D3x is 24.5. Basically, the image sensor is higher quality and is far more sensitive in low light. The D3X would be better suited for high resolution applications, like landscape and studio photography.

They share the exact same body and controls.

You pay for what you get as well. The D3X MSRP is approx. $8,000 and the D3 hovers around the $5000 level. The D700 with the same sensor as the D3 runs around $2700.
