Thanks for the information. The D200 is here in Canada, so no duty, customs, money exchange etc. Guess I will look into it a little more. Once again thats for your input :). Sometimes when things are to good to be true, they are....lol.

Really, thats good to know. I was not sure if I should look at the D200 , or go for something newer.
Like a D90, etc.
Does it have commander mode so I can run my SB 600s wireless?

Thanks for the advice, I am going to look into the D200, it sounds like it sets up (i-TTL) the same as my D80.
So I would have no problem making it work. If they still have it I may get it....lol???

Curt, I hope it works out for you, I have mine for over two years, use it daily and still love the camera. I wish I could have gotten mine for $500, would have left more for glass.

Ordered the D200 yesterday, Got it for $500.00 just waiting to get it now. I was told it was in mint shape. So I am pretty happy at this point.
Sometimes things are too good to be true, in this case I hope it is true...lol. Keep you posted when I get it :).

Well, I have not had a real chance to play with it yet, but you are right, it feels real good. Such a well made camera.
I am very happy with it so far, can't wait to see what it can do.

Here is a spreadsheet for setting up the shooting menus, I started with these settings and after you find your way around the camera you can modify as you go. I mostly shoot in Aperture Priority, set the ISO according to the light the snap away. I need to look at how many actuations mine has on it but pretty much daily use, its been overseas three times and it just keeps ticking. Actually a friend loaned me his D700 for an indoor shoot and it is a lovely camera but I missed my D200. I have friends that are pro studio guys and they have both D200 and D700's but consider the D200 their workhorse cameras. I also have a friend with a D100 & D70, just solid cameras that last and last.

I too shoot mostly in Aperture prionrity or shutter priority. I mostly use ISO Auto (between 1/30 to 1600) WB on Auto, as well.
I use the optimal quality mode (L) Basic.
Optimal Quality lets the file size grow if needed to maintain quality, and otherwise keeps it smaller. I great option.

Curt, I noticed in the pic that you're missing the little black cap that goes on the remote shutter slot on the front. You won't believe the price of those things when you check it out! lol

Yeah, thats the only thing missing, oh and it did not come with a screen protecter ( but I got one) Otherwise I got everything else. The camera itself looks like brand new, not a mark on it. It works fantastc. I can't believe I got it for $500.00, very happy with it :).
