Dusted off the D200

I was going to go take some pics of our mountain which has lots of snow on it. Looking at what to take I noticed my D200 sitting on the shelf waiting to go. I know it has felt left out since I got the D300 so I dusted it off, threw some batteries in the grip and took it.

Still a great, reliable and trustworthy body. I will probably never part with it. I need to use it more often, great body.

I feel the same way, I still love mine, I know I wouldn't part with it. I use it alot when shooting people and using a flash.

Yup...couldn't agree more with you guys. Great camera. I'll never part with mine. Some day, I hope to own a D300, too. That would be icing on the cake for me.

I to have a D200! Bought it used a couple years ago for only $500.00.
It has very few clicks on it and has served me very well. I also have a new D7000 & D80 which I really like as well. The D200 is set up on a tripod and I use it a fair amount. Would love to some day go to FX ( D800). But I will keep my D200, great Nikon body.

I too really enjoy my D200. It has 167233 shutter releases. Almost wore out,:) but good for another 5 or 6 years. Dont know what camera I'll purchase when it finally dies. One thing I do know it will be another Nikon.

I remember when you bought it, they are still tough bodies.

I gotta look at the shutter releases on mine, I augmented my kit with the D300 and it has taken the brunt of the work over the last year or more.
