CF vs SD

In my D200 would it be better to use the CF card instead of the SD card in the CF adapter? Or does it not matter? Just curious.

I'm now using a SD card with a cf adapter and I know @fotojack does too, since I got the idea from him! Lol I haven't noticed a difference myself, so I'm not sure if there is one. :)

New CF camera owner here (D300 - Thanks skene!).

I am seriously thinking of an adaptor. (I assume this is a good one?)

Should I pay attention to what size/speed SD card I purchase? I mean, more than normal.
I don't need 64gb. For what I do, I could easily get by with 32(s).

Thanks.

I can't speak to the speed comparison, but I have one of these and have used it in my D700 and D300:

It works just fine, but only up to 32GB; 64gb will not work in either camera. Note that I am using the Type 1; I do not really know what the difference is between 1 and 2 except that that they are 3.3mm vs 5mm thick respectively. (I don't think the D700 would take the thicker one, but the D300 slot looks like it might.)

Update: apologies to the OP, who was asking about the D200. D200 use of SD card would probably be limited to <8gb. BTW, the D200 slot looks like the D300 slot -- slightly wider than the D700 slot. (D1H does too.)
