My P900 arrived today, spent an hour or so just working out all the capabilities of this camera and I am very impressed with the possibilities. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not too bad so images will follow soon.:)

Having given the P900 a thorough test now I must say that I am disappointed with its performance. Using the telephoto lens at anything over about 200mm the lighting has to be really bright. I know its a small sensor but I thought it would perform better.

You may need to rethink your approach to it,editing has to be minimal,low/poor light needs a support to keep the ISO down and cropping is available but not all that much.

I had the P610 first and i think i had trouble adjusting to it but it did make sorting the P900 out easier,it just needs working at,this is hand held at 357mm (2000mm)

I think I have made a big mistake buying this camera, I have been researching the Panasonic FZ1000, with a bit of luck I may be able to change it..........

The P900 has a learning curve. Which can be frustrating. I enjoy using mine, but you have to keep in mind the limitations this cameras carries. Good luck in whatever you choose.
