Not a DSLR but oh well. :p She was looking for a new compact camera and she really liked this one so there we go. She's more excited about this than I've ever seen her excited about the subject of cameras. lol

Obviously a woman of refined taste. You need to keep her around.

I intend to. And of course she has refined taste, otherwise she'd be with someone who wasn't me. ;D lol

At first glance, I thought that said your girlfriend IS a Nikon now. It might be the margarita, but surely you understand my confusion? :)

At least you won't be scratching your head wondering where your expensive, top-end glass is. Say, for instance, your Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG OSM. Only to find it on HER camera. Not that this happens to me. Oh heck no... Not at all.

And by, "not at all" I mean, "all the time".

Lol she has no intention of getting a DSLR and I can understand why.

That's how it starts, with no intention.

"I'll just be fine with a point and shoot".

Then she'll start comparing images from the trips you both photograph together, and start asking why. "Why don't my pictures look as colorful as yours?" "Why are your pictures so much clearer than mine?" "Why don't you use this point and shoot for a little bit so I can try the DSLR?" "Why are you so upset that you don't get to use the DSLR? You said the point and shoot was good enough for me."

...and then you find yourself buying her a D4S for your anniversary.

:D
