I simply use lens cleaner and a microfiber towel every so often, but I have a screen cover to limit damage.

There's a cleaning solution that people can buy to clean their big screen TVs with. Use that to clean your screen, but spray it on the cloth first.......THEN gently wipe your LCD screen on the camera. Do NOT rub hard! You can damage your screen with too much pressure. NEVER use spirits or harsh chemicsls to clean your screen!

Originally I used Sensor Swabs with the sensor cleaning drops. I found this was not very accurate. The sensor was still a dust magnet. After doing some research, and reading forums I came accross someone who used a sensor cleaning lenspen. I got the sensorklear loupe and pen. Since using it there has been very little dirt/dust on my sensor, now cleaning up my images because of it has been reduced by 99%.

Now I can use the sensor swabs, then use the sensor/lens pen to clean up any little bits that are left behind. End of problem for me.

The LCD screen on the D3 series is very durable. A number of owners carry them while wearing riveted jeans and the rivets on the pocket have left no scuffs, marks, or damage. Likewise with belt buckles. If you are worried, Hoodman and others make screen protectors.

A simple wipe with a clean cloth and lens cleaner is all it needs.
