Cannot delete NEF files
Im using a windows 10 pc but whenever i try and empty the recycle bin it wont let me delete any more that around 20 files individually, all other files are fine, anyone offer any assistance. TIA

files have attributes... one attribute is "read-only"... Your NEF files are write-protected. You need to change the attribute from "read-only" to "read-write" before you can delete it...
Right-click on a file, I believe from there you can select Properties... and from there you can change the Attribute.Last edited by FredKingston; 01-26-2021 at 11:51 PM.

Is your hard drive so filled up that you can only delete so much data at a time?
Don't mind me... I'm out roaming around somewhere between Zone III and VII.

There is nothing in the attributes section to change, but archive is ticked

Right-click the file and choose Properties. At the bottom of the General tab you'll see Attributes and I'm guessing "Read-only" will be checked. Uncheck that.
If you didn't protect the files purposefully there's a chance you accidentally hit the lock button when you were trying to zoom in on the image while reviewing. Happens all the time to me.
