Anyone here use Goodsync? Can it be used to copy the C drive onto an external hard drive?

It certainly is for files not OS/Disk images that do not need 'sync' functions.

Backup/Sync software is for creating copies of your data. It sounds like what you want to do is image your hard drive, also called cloneing; which is a mirror copy of the operating system. For cloning your hard drive need something like Acronis Disk Director, Clonezilla or Macrium Reflect.
