WiFi Bluetooth connection to computer for Coolpix B500

Hello,

I bought my GF this camera for Christmas so that she could take and upload product shots for her side business. The salesman assured us that it would connect to the laptop that she purchased at the same time (Win10). Now while trying to accomplish that, I am only seeing how to connect to a phone. The computer is on the opposite side of the room from the light box and I would like to use wireless if possible. Does anyone know how to connect wirelessly to a windows computer?

Cameras typically require wifi (not bluetooth) to connect to a computer.

My experience anyway with several year old cameras.

Perhaps technology has advanced beyond my experience.

Even then there's often a (in the camera) requirement for connecting either through an existing wifi network, or the camera acting as a web site, bouncing through a web site in the cloud, or an ad-hoc connection.

Prepare for a bit of fiddling and consult the camera manual first.

At a minimum (once on a wifi network) the camera should support instant uploads to one of the cloud photo services (google photos, amazon photos, dropbox, etc.)

Reading specs on this camera, it has both Blutooth and Wifi - however, I have no clue how to connect wirelessly. It also takes an SD memory card. Does your computer have a memory card reader built in? That's how I upload images to my PC.

Hopefully someone else will come along and offer you some help with the Wifi issue.
