Screen viewing simultaneously with image retrieval using a Mini HDMI cable

    Hello everyone,
I have several types of D cameras.
I developed a program that takes and reproduces the images taken with the camera.
The problem is that when I connect the camera to my computer using a mini HDMI cable the camera's screen stops working.
It is important to note that I do the photography through the screen and not through the eyepiece because of physical problems.
My question is, is it possible for the screen to continue working when my product is connected?
Or are there other cameras that solve the problem?
    If there is no solution,
I realized that I could connect an external screen that would be my screen, the question of whether I could split the connection into two different screens?
    Thank you!

I suspect that Nikon may be able to help. Itís an internal switch that sends the LCD data to the hdmi port when itís connected. A software patch might work, but if itís hard wired, youíre out of luck.

Does your hdmi cable plug into the pc or into the monitor? Mine just plugs into the monitor, so itís effectively just a very large lcd. If you get an hdmi splitter...theyíre quite cheap, you could continue to send one signal to the pc but the other to another monitor so that you can still see what would have been seen on the camera lcd.
