    ICE vs Lightroom Photo Merge

    ICE vs Lightroom Photo Merge
I updated LR today and thought I would try the photo merge with a three shot vertical stitch.

give "transform" in lightroom a shot at fixing your photo.

Did you use the Spherical, cylindrical, or perspective option? Maybe that is the key, I dunno'.

I'm not finding that in LR CC (non classic) program.

My choices (that I saw) were HDR merge, Panorama merge and HDR Panorama merge.

It's not a big deal, ICE works great.

Looks to me that your nodal point was off...

It probably was, I took the shots handheld. Apparently ICE is more forgiving of sloppy technique.

Once you select Panorama Merge, you then select how you want it rendered. Spherical, cylindrical, or perspective are the options, and that can sometimes make a big difference in the outcome.

I have heard good things about ICE, and that it can sometimes merge pictures that Lightroom can't. It certainly worked great on your image.

I don't have LR, but have had some mixed results with I.C.E. Most of the time it works well, but a few times things just didn't for no good reason. Ha!

Just realized the the non classic version may not have these options.
