Have you ever tried a touch pad? When I use my MacBook Air, this is what I use and find it as fast and even more comfortable to use than the mouse. If you could get one to plug on your computer, you probably would like it.

My laptop has a built in touch pad, but I turned it off. I kept accidentally hitting it while typing which would move the cursor all over the place. I didn't know they made separate ones though. That would eliminate me hitting it when typing so will check this out as well as Mike's suggestion. Thanks, Marcel!

    What's the BIGGEST mouse available?
The mouse arrived today, and it's ENORMOUS! Fortunately it is as big as I hoped. The pics don't do it justice. The mouse is slightly larger than my hand (see bottom photo). I should have lowered my hand slightly as the perspective is off a little. I do have very large hands so this allows me to stretch out my thumb. Unedited cell phone pics.

And it is simply a basic mouse meaning just the one scroll wheel with right/left click buttons. That's all I wanted so it's fantastic. Thanks @Horoscope Fish for finding a valid place from which to order!

Tomorrow my Pastor is retiring, and there will be a long luncheon filled with all kinds of activities (and lots of people). That means I will have a ton of pics to edit. And it is the editing that has caused more discomfort with my trigger thumb than any one other activity.

It IS huge but is also cheaply made. So I will check out the Kensington Trackball that Nick linked, too. The Kensington looks more durable. I'm afraid if I drop this one once, that will be the end of it.

What I might do for the time being is to use this huge mouse only for editing just so I don't break it too soon. I will need it for editing starting tomorrow. Thanks again, Paul.

Sorry if this has been recommended already but you should also check out vertical mice. The hand position is more like a handshake and can sometimes help relieve tendinitis.
