I turn my Mac on, normal black screen, Apple logo, and loading bar.
Yesterday no problem, but today the loading bar takes ages to load and
when the bar is fully loaded this is still showing with the logo and that’s it, nothing
else will happen, turned on and off 3 times but the same thing happens each time.
Anyone had this problem, or know how to fix this problem ?

Start up in safe mode

  • Start or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo appears on your display. ...
  • Release the Shift key when you see the login window.

Have you done this?

Let me take a stab at guessing... It was an update that was hung up during the reboot process. I've had that happen and just let the computer sit in the apple logo screen for 20 min. or so.

Hi Mark F, that was part of it, also wireless keyboard was not registering with the Mac, had to get another keyboard, turn off/on again at the same time press control, command, p & r buttons for the Mac to come back to life

One of the reasons I kept the real Mac keyboard that IS tethered via USB cable. I only use the wireless keyboard and mouse when I have my MacBook Pro clamshelled for our Mac user meetings.
