ViewNX-i problems

Could not access ViewNX-i yesterday. Removed the app and reloaded from the Nikon website. Worked fine except for that one shot I put in the abstract thread. Today I transferred my shots at Wako from the D7100 using ViewNX-i and after a successful transfer I closed the app (guess I shouldn't have done that). Now I get a message -
this app can't run on your PC. I removed and reloaded and still get the same error. Any one else having problems using ViewNX-i?

Thanks Mike.

I found an old download on my PC from November. Uninstalled the latest and reloaded the old. Looks like I'm back in business for the time being.

Short lived success. Back to the invalid .dll message I was getting with the old version. At least I know I can uninstall the app and reinstall. I can work on my photos as long as I don't shut off my PC.

A long shot but on 10 when you go to uninstall see if there is a advanced option tab if so you can click repair it may not work.

this is a long shot but did you ever have ViewNX 2 installed? i'm thinking maybe -i got installed to the same directory and now it's getting confused between dll versions. does it tell you what dll it is? one thing you might try is uninstalling -i, wipeout the entire directory you installed it too then reinstall it (or just install it to a brand new directory). just a guess..

i've never seen this particular problem - just the occasional memory issue.

Never installed ViewNX2 on this PC. Nikon said is wasn't compatible with Windows 10.

I uninstalled the original version from November last year and installed the latest version from Nikon. That worked for 1.5 days. After transferring my photos this morning, it stopped working. I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same error - this app does not work on this PC. I uninstalled that and loaded the Nov version. Worked great until I shut off my PC. Then I got a ViewNX-i\NkvRTL.dll error. Uninstalled and reinstalled and all is working. I'm not shutting my PC off until I process all of my photos.

I just had a problem today with NX2. When I went to convert a group of files, the program locked up and died. Tried another file and it worked. So I re-entered each photo in the problem file, and the problem disappeared. Something appears to have been imbedded in the file and reloading the individual files in to a new folder seems to have eliminated the problem. Good luck.

I'll try that Ted, but when it happened, I couldn't transfer my photos from my camera.

After I finished processing all my images, I created a new file and copied two folders over and still had the problem. I deleted the folder again and created another folder with nothing in it and rebooted. This time it recognized the transfer but lost my test shot. When I tried to start ViewNX-i I get the dll error message.
