I used a Logitech gaming mouse for several years and it worked great. However, if I had not got a great deal on I am not sure it would have been worth the extra money.

It was a G400 and it worked very well. But when my old PC died, I got a new Dell that came with its own laser mouse and this mouse works just as well. That is why I can say you don't need an expensive gaming mouse for photoediting. I use PS6 with NIX tools plus the Nixon NX software and both the dell mouse G400 worked great.

I always used $20, 5 button Kensingtons and back in the actual gaming days it brought me nothing but solid results. Now, a good tablet, that's a real tool to have!

I'm using the Logitech mX Performance Mouse on my main PC
On my laptop I have an ASUS Gladius - which is a ROG gaming mouse.

The mX is wireless and I like the ergonomics.
The ASUS matches my ROG Laptop and lights up red like the keyboard - so I needed that high end mouse to match the high end laptop. It's all about style eh?

I also have a G13 Logitech game pad which I hear can be programmed for photo-editing - figuring that out is on the todo list (but a long way from the top of the list) If I was looking for an 'input device' as pc techies call them, specifically for photo editing, I'd consider this item. Lots of configurable options.

Gamepad - G13 Advanced Gameboard - Logitech

I do like to play PC games - been too busy lately, but I was totally addicted to Cities-Skylines last winter - Steam tells me I've wasted 959 hours playing with the pixels on the screen with this game.

I use the touchpad because it is the most convenient for me. I used to use a computer mouse, but there were some problems with that when editing photos. so I found an option that was more acceptable to me.

Uh-oh. I sense some spam coming up...

Spam is an automatic ban, and looking through the history of banned members, it used to be enforced all the time. With the latest frequency of spam from the same members occurring, I do think it will be enforced for first time offenders.

If anyone sees a post where spam was added in at a later time (as in editing a post to include it), please don't hesitate to report the post.

I use a optical Logitech G502 wired, and they have a wireless option. You can set the DPI (speed) fast or slow on the fly, from 100 to 25,000, and there is a button that will slow it down until released if needed. Been using it daily for years, dropped about 3 feet (1 meter) countless times, the USB connector is bent, and it is still going strong. I think if I ever upgrade, it will be to the wireless. I see cheap mice advertised as "gaming", be careful. It may not actually matter for photo editing, but it may. https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-mice/g502-hero-gaming-mouse.910-005469.html.
