I am going to be shooting a motorbike event and I want to pull the images straight away for people to be able to buy on site,

I have the printing side of it down I just need a quick way to get my photos from the camera to the computer to be able to be edited in lightroom quick and then available to purchase.

Does anyone know whether there is an app that can be downloaded to the PC to act as snapbridge does or is it going to be a case of having a runner from the camera to the laptop and back to take the cards?

I haven't tried using my CamRanger with the D500 yet, but I've done similar when shooting Santa gigs at Christmas with a friend's Canon.

From what I've seen so far, Nikon has ignored the PC/laptop market with the current wireless offerings. Something like a CamRanger might get you that functionality with the images being saved directly to the laptop (as well as the camera's onboard storage) so that you can edit quickly. If I get time to check it out I will, but effectively the CamRanger will create a wireless network for your Surface Pro to connect to. The CamRanger app on your Surface will copy the images from the camera (assuming it works with the D500) to the Surface and store in both places.

I just don't know of an app for PC that takes advantage of the Nikon Snapbridge interface.
