NX-D 1.4.3 lost preferences

Hi,
I've been a loyal user of NX-D since it was first released. Had all the versions.
Today I tried to change some preferences and got a window popup. Regardless of what I try to select I get an error message. "The specified folder is missing or write-protected.........".
It's stuck on 'Open with Application".

help. Any clues on what has happened and how to fox it.

I am not sure where you are at in NX-d, but are you on this screen?



And are you not able to select the different preference settings because it is stuck on Open with...

Thanks. Yes I 'was' stuck on that screen with the error coming up all the time.
I have just uninstalled NX-D. Did a fresh install. Same issue.
I then deleted the two 'open with' programs. Then selected my 'Pictures' folder as the 'Open wit' option.
No idea how, what or why. But I closed NX-D and opened it again. Now it's work as it should.

So now that I have it going how did it get confused? How can I avoid the same issue?
(I have the same version of NX-D on two other computers and they worked just fine).
So I guess one of my fat fingers combined with my brain did something to upset it!!!

Glad you got it worked out. I have not had that problem with it, but I really very seldom use the Open with Application. I usually just save my file after doing adjustments (Convert file) to JPG format. Then I open it in GIMP or whatever other application.

I just purchased Photoshop elements 15 and have started playing with it in lieu of Capture NX-D, but if I am in a hurry I resort to NX-D because I am familiar with it.
