So who is getting it? How do you think it will fit into your workflow?

I like the idea of it, and I can't wait to play with one to see if it is something I want to integrate with just yet. But looks like it can be very useful, especially when working with exposure, color corrections and so forth with adobe.

I'm taking a pass for now. Love the display improvements, don't like giving up the SD slot and changing out all my video/network dongles. There's not enough gain to justify the cost, even if it replaces two MBPs for me.

As has been said, they have stripped out the USB's and Card slots too soon, You cant stick 4 USB C's into a product when there is only a handful of things that use it, it means you need to buy adapters upon adapters for all your USB peripherals...

The touch bar is nice but in the wrong place, its too awkward being all the way up there, now if Apple wanted to do something really revolutionary, they should have made the trackpad out of glass and had it as an interactive screen for certain functions...

Too highly priced, to little of a step up from the old ones ... Typical Apple at the moment ...

This right here.

Also, definitely seems like the touchbar should be at the bottom, it would be far more convenient.

I don't find it to inconvenient especially since the touchbar replaces all of the F keys. So it's not much of a far stretch in terms. But I do like the larger mouse pad where you will be able to integrate using the apple pen as if you were using a separate track pad/drawing tablet. So it kind of kills things like purchasing a Wacom for working with finer details.

Apple lost me with this one. I've got terabytes of photos & music on USB3 external drives. I'm a keystroke guy and the elimination of function keys on the 15" model even as an option is a PITA regardless of what you can do with customizing the touchbar. I'd likely need to tack on 15-25% on top of my purchase price just for "adapters". Apple seems to have left the innovation business and decided that profit comes from peripherals. From the lack of a headphone jack on the iPhone7 to this thing, they have me thinking Sony with their BetaMax tech.
