I've tried once or twice to have a go at astropad, but still haven't come away feeling like it will replace a Wacom. It's a shame, because I have the iPad with me pretty much everywhere. Have you found it to work better for you?

Are there any mouses specially made for photo editing?

I really like the Logitec MX Master which I am using at the office for work.
Or the Apple Magic Mouse at home.

Logitech Performance MX. Great mouse that I've been using for the past 3 years.

Amen -

But keep the receipt - after almost two years of daily use mine failed, Logitech sent me a new one. Nice

As for Wacom

Been there, tried that - not for this old man, could never get the hang of it.

I started using the Logitech M570 Trackball a few years ago when I had knee problems and had to spend a lot of time with my leg up in my recliner. I worked at home so I was on my computer many hours per day and had to have my laptop in my lap. Mouse would not work and I can't stand the touchpads. I started using the thumbwheel then since I could sit it on the arm of the chair or even on my stomach in front of the laptop. Works great on my desktop now also since it does not take up and desk space since you don't have to move it around. Works great for post processing for me.

Are you kidding me, I had mine for 5 years and figured I would just upgrade. So I got MX master, which is just as good. I have both the mouse and Wacom, and wouldn't trade either.

Should have just sent Logitech an email, I use a lot of their products.

I did look at trackballs but went back with a mouse.

Wacom tablet. My daughter hates it, but I use them at home and at work... the only thing I use the mouse for is the scroll wheel :)

Thanks for replies folks, so i bought the Logitec Mx Master mouse and its performs very poorly, the scroll wheel has a mind of its own when on web pages they jump up and down when trying to read them, sent it back and bought the Logitec M560 it too performs very poorly, when using the scroll wheel to look through pictures in windows photo viewer it wont scroll from one picture to the next in stead it scrolls through five or six photos at a time, so thats it with logitec. still looking.

That is very unusual. I have used Logitec for years both mouse and track ball and after I installed the software and made the adjustments to the preferences they have worked very well. Sorry to hear that biket.

I tried the Logitech software but it was ok but it did not improve performance, Logitech informed me that they where aware of some problems with some of their wireless mice and where still working on a software update, not much good to me today.

@RocketCowboy Sorry didn't see this sooner. Well I thought it (AstroPad) may be of interest to the OP, me myself though I have my Wacom which I have not used all that much since I got it. Feels awkward, but I've just set it up on my macbook and I'll give it a shot again. I just got so used to working with a trackpad instead.

No worries. I thought AstroPad might be interesting also, since I always travel with my iPad. Was just looking for experiences from others, since I haven't found it to be as useful as I had thought.

Here is my 2¢: I use both (Magic Mouse and Wacom Tablet). I use both as I never got the "feel" for using the stylus as mouse pointer hence the reason I use both. For photoshop I use the Wacom, hands down, especially when using a brush I can get into the fine details than a mouse for me. Its when I have to access a tool if I forget the quick keys than its the mouse.

Hi
I use the Logitech M570 Track ball. Four years old, great control, and still going strong. I think it is related to that bunny!
