Photoshop CC

So I've been contemplating on going all out and getting Adobe Photoshop CS6. Unavailable? Why is it unavailable? A newer version? So then I saw an offer on Adobe Photoshop CC. So my question. Is the CC version the same as getting the actual software and only paying $29 per mo. as opposed to spending $600 for the software? Tried to find out more but could not.

Can't help you with the answer to your question. If you were to go with the Cloud, would you need all the features of the $29.99 package? I have the $9.99 one, and Photoshop CC 2014 with Lightroom 5 handles all I need.

Photoshop CC is just like having the retail box version of the same software installed; the only difference is the delivery method. Creative Cloud applications reside on your computer and run exactly the same as if you had installed those applications from a retail box.

And as Hark points out, you might want to get the Photographers Plan which consists of Lightroom and Photoshop (and Bridge, though you'll have to install it separately) for $9.99 a month.

Photoshop CC is not the same as CS6, it's currently 2 significant "dot releases" beyond CS 6, with functions that you cannot get on CS6, including perspective correction, camera shake reduction and focus area selection, among others. If you don't have CS6 I heartily recommend avoiding buying it unless you can find it for dirt cheap (which you really can't), and then I'd still tell you to pay the $10/month for LR and PS CC because it's better.
