My Portable Hard Drive

Hey everybody! :D
Well I just got around to trying out my new My Passport hard drive! At first I couldn't find it! Lol I looked all over for the thing, but it's so small I missed looking right next to me until I nearly gave up! Lol :)
I am very impressed with it, I tell you! It was so easy and quick to use it surprised the hell out of me! I was expecting a slow process and possibly a lengthy setup, but it worked right off and transfered a folder of photos in a spilt second flat! Wow it was such a relief I just sat there staring at the screen for several minutes in surprise!

I tell you that if this kind of ease of use continues, I'll be buying more of these over time for sure! :D

Now maybe my laptop will be less temperamental with a load of files off it's back! Lol :)

Now this is a first time experience for me never having had nor used a hard drive before. So my being thrilled with this hard drive doesn't mean it's the best portable hard drive to get. I've never used one before so others may work much better, but I don't see how from my limited experience! Lol :D

I guess I won't have to dread having to use my hard drive, now that I know it's painless! Lol :D

Just for photos made a few files and folders then bingo
All my pics in one place within minutes
Should have done it ages ago

I'm using the 2Tb my passport with my Toshiba laptop Pete gave me. Now with the hard drive, maybe it will work better, especially if I remember to clear my trash folder now and then! Lol :D

I've had and been using a 1TB my passport drive for about a year now for off computer backups.

It's a little slow but I'm transferring 450GB of data, but I've got time.
Yeah it's very easy to use and works right out of the box, wish I had a 2TB now. :)

I'm looking at getting a larger external drive. My current ones max are 250Gb... next time it will be a 2Tb Very handy for keeping your photos on... you just need to be organised (which I wasnt at the start, and now I regret :) )

I'm pretty much organized but there is always room for improvement. :)

Glad to hear it is working well for you, Bill! :) After reading one of your threads where you asked for suggestions on portable hard drives, I bought a My Passport Ultra. In fact it is staring me right in the face...from INSIDE its box. :rolleyes: I really should hook it up! ;)

I love how little things can please people.

External USB3 drives are fast as long as you have the hardware to support it :)
Try an external (or internal for that matter) SSD - by your response thus far, an SSD would take you to warp speed :p
