How to print multiple images with cut marks?

For some reason, I just don't get how to print say 4 pictures (5x7 inch or maybe 2 of size 5x7 inch and 2 of size 8x6 inch) on a piece of A4 paper - the easy way, including cut marks and bleeds? Do you use Illustrator or InDesign..? I have been googling several times but no luck yet.

I know Lightroom has this function build in but if I could use either Photoshop, Illustrator or another program, I would be very happy.

Been looking at the Picture Package plugin for PS CS5, but doesn't look like it will give me cut marks. And I need to cut myself as I can't really get all the sizes I need for printing..

I use the Picture Package plugin for PS CS6 and have not really needed cut marks. Are you trying to leave a white border around the photos? If not then it is not hard to match the edge of the print with the cut. Also if I remember correctly the size that gets printed is slightly oversize so there is room to trim without getting any white in the finished print.

Good to hear you use picture package! Yes bleed is needed to avoid white but I'm a little worried if I will cut straight. But maybe I should look at a cutter with a ruler.

Have you tried the Print Module in Lightroom?

I've played around with it but my workflow is basic adjustments in LR, export as 300 dpi jpeg, finishing touches in PS... So would like to print from PS. I do know I can edit in Photoshop from LR and then get a tiff file but my harddisk are filled up and I hate deleting (mostly clients pictures). I have backup but I like having the images 2 places..

You can keep your jpegs. Create a new LR Catalog (you can call it "Print-Catalog") and import the directories with your print-ready jpegs. Then, use that catalog to print the images that you no longer need to edit. Yes, you have to swap catalogs every time you want to print, but it's not that much of a pain, and you keep the finished jpegs out of the catalog with the normal workflow.

Why are you exporting jpegs from LR then editing in PS? Why not just export from LR as PS files?

Really!! I had no idea - thank you a billion!
I just tried the picture package and it's of course in inches, so guess lr is a winner :-D

@hark - because I don't have enough space for these huge files. I will rather keep 2 copies, than deleting clients images from computer hard disk.
