Good article Eduard. I picked up a few pointers. I've been very successful using Microsoft ICE which is a Stand Alone and is Free to us.

I am making panoramas for years now. See my website virtualtours.nl - Virtual tours en 360 graden panoramas. Most of the panoramas there were shot with a Nikon D90 + Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8 lens in MF mode. The camera needs to rotate around the optical center to avoid parallax. For this, I use a Nodal Ninja 3 panoramic head on a Manfrotto X055B tripod. Exposure: aperture priority mode with f/11. Software to stitch: Kolor Autopano (the Pro version will do to start with). Make a virtual tour out of it with Kolor Panotour Pro. If you need more details, just ask. You can also take a look at the websites kolor.com and ivrpa.org.
